Summary

Verbly is a French verb reference and learning app. We do not create user accounts, sell data, show ads, or use cross-app tracking.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app may store your favourites, recent lookups, practice progress and history, language and appearance preferences, purchase entitlement state, and anonymous analytics preference on your device. This information is used to make the app work and is not sent to a developer-operated backend.

iCloud Sync

Verbly uses Apple’s CloudKit service and your private iCloud database to sync learning data for app functionality and reinstall recovery. This may include practice progress and history, favourites, recent verbs, and remembered practice setups.

Sync happens automatically when iCloud is available. The app remains usable with local storage when iCloud is unavailable, but reinstall recovery is unavailable until iCloud reconnects.

Analytics and Tracking

The Verbly app uses Firebase Analytics to understand basic product usage and improve the app. Analytics data may include product interactions, purchase history related to the app, and a Firebase app or device identifier used for analytics.

We do not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not send names, email addresses, free-form search text, practice answers, mistakes, or custom content in analytics events. You can turn anonymous usage analytics off at any time in Settings > Privacy.

The Verbly website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate visits and site performance. The website does not create a user profile and has no account or user database.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive your payment card information. Apple may provide the app with purchase entitlement information so Pro features can be unlocked or restored.

Third-Party Services

Verbly uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit for purchases, iCloud and CloudKit for private learning-data sync, Firebase Analytics for optional anonymous in-app analytics, and Cloudflare for website delivery, security, and aggregate analytics. Verbly includes no advertising SDK and operates no user-account server.

Data Deletion

You can remove local data by deleting the app from your device. You can turn off the app’s iCloud access or delete its stored iCloud data through your Apple Account’s iCloud settings. You can also turn off anonymous usage analytics in the app’s Settings screen.

Children’s Privacy

Verbly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
